it was a well timed hard shot by calzaghe and at that point English was in major decline

Yeah. That aside Eubank had an excellent chin - as did Calzaghe himself, a fact which his late career knockdowns versus Hopkins and Jones didn't lessen.

Really the most vulnerable spot on Calzaghe was his body, which came to light in the Kessler match (where both guys hurt each other downstairs a fair bit) but nobody ever managed to exploit it, likely due to his spastic mobility.

Eubank was finished by the time he fought Calzaghe.

It was already the end of the road for Eubank when he lost to Collins. Although he did then score a few KO's over low level opposition out in the Middle East somewhere he went on to lose to Calzaghe in his next meaningful fight.

He did box twice more after Calzaghe, at cruiserweight, losing both fights.

I think Jr. probably gets past O' Sullivan, but I'm still far from convinced that he can go all the way.

Here's a question: does the winner of this immediately gun for a Saunders rematch if he beats Lee? Either could be a more lucrative ticket seller than he might find any non-domestic challenger (outside unification with Canelo/GGG/Jacobs) to be.

There is a long pattern of BJS outclassing his domestic rivals but leaving JUST enough doubt with his questionable stamina and late fading episodes about whether any of them might in a rematch have plenty to be optimistic about if they could adjust tactics and start wearing him down earlier (ie with body shots, or simply forcing him to exchange more, since they don't really need to worry about his power much)

That applies to both Eubank and O'Sullivan (as well as Ryder, Blackwell, etc... I'm not saying any of them were close enough to warrant a rematch, but I am saying that Saunders has apparently done little to improve his stamina issues meaning any of the four - all of whom gave him varying amounts of difficulty, primarily in the late stages - could be trickier on a 2nd go-around..)

After Saunders thoroughly outclasses Andy Lee they'll want no part of him.:deal

...but it won't change the fact that both came on strong (Eubank more so than O'Sullivan) in the 2nd half with him. Could give them confidence.

...and Lee himself could benefit from that. How many times lately have we seen Lee hemorrhaging rounds early only to pull a big KO outta his ass?

I'm thinking BJS won't risk it this time, he knows how dangerous Lee is and hopefully will have his stamina issues worked out. Billy isn't stupid and he knows Andy is a level above both of those guys, I doubt Gary would pursue it he and Billy Joe is very good "mates" and I don't think I gave him a round against Saunders as far as Eubank goes if he looks amazing against O'Sullivan, which I doubt he will, he might pursue it.
