Who wins this contest, how do they win and why do they win?

Will you be paying £19.95 to watch this on ITV PPV? I will definitely be paying for this one.

    Roll on February 23rd!

DeGale starts well but his shopworn body eventually gives way.

    Jr TKO

Going to pick Eubank as I dont think Degale has anything left. He's taken this fight for all the wrong reasons and it seems with retirement in mind.

Eubank out-hustles him, Degale can't match the work rate and working off the ropes like he always will does will not win him rounds.

    Eubank on fairly comfortable UD

I think Degale simply outboxes Eubank

Just please don't sit on the ropes James!

Eubank is screwed if he does lose here
In terms of career progression where would he go?

Degale quite comfortably on points. Eubank lunging in from range will be easy for even this Degale. All this talk of Eubank’s engine and hustling Degale when he takes breaks. Eubank is the worst for this so that won’t happen in my opinion. 116-112/117-111.

    Degale looks in brilliant shape.

I can see the same pattern as the Groves fight. Junior is very insecure about what people think about his boxing skills. He said after the JJ fight that he wanted to showcase the improvements he made because ‘people said I couldn’t box’ and to be honest I thought he still looked a little cumbersome at times in that fight. If he tries to box against Degale then he’s gonna get schooled. He’ll revert to type when he’s lost a few rounds and we’ll have a good fight to watch then.

Both fighters have good chins. Junior’s not gonna spark Degale or vice versa. Degale is not what he once was, but he’s got size and footwork to negate Junior and the pedigree to win rounds. I just don’t think Junior has learned anything from his defeats because he won’t even accept he was beaten.

    Degale by decision.

His jab against JJ was pretty comical yet he mentioned how good it was afterwards

I do love how Eubank convinces people every time. Credit to him, his self belief is brilliant & such an entertainer.

    Best wins...

    Chudinov
    Spike
    Abraham (shot to pieces)
    Yildirim
    Blackwell

It doesn’t look massively impressive when you put it like that imo.

I can’t believe how many people fell for it before the Groves fight. I’m even more gob smacked that some (INCLUDING THE BOOKIES) are still being fooled.

I sometimes think back to that Spike fight, Spike tagged him a couple of times with hard shots while Eubank was swinging wide hooks. He hasn’t changed his style one bit and as you say he will revert to type making him easy to deal with for the likes of Degale, Groves and Saunders.

DeGale UD. Wouldn't mind if Eubank got up though.

You know what Twenty i was thinking the same damn thing...he gets me beliving in him everytime.

I think Eubank stops him in rounds 10-12...either he knocks him out or DeGale quits on his stool. I dont think his shoulder will hold out..
