Saw a fantasy match made on Twitter between Eubank and Williams. Sure there has been a thread before on it before, but couldn’t find it.

Suprised to see most people picking Williams.

I personally think it’d be quite a comfortable nights work for Eubank.

Who wins for you? And how?

I think Eubank would just be too much for Williams. Williams is a superior boxer but his heart is questionable and Eubank will be too relentless and break his spirit.

I'd probably take Williams to be honest. He's improved a lot (suspiciously so, frankly). Outside of some clips of him training and losing a round to Korobov, I'm not sure what I should have seen that makes me think Jr has it in him to beat someone who can box competently and is in their prime

    Really?what fights were these?

I cant recall any improvement in that area and I've seen all his fights

Williams would give him hell and for me its a straight up 50 50 fight

One that if ever signed would excite me greatly

With only domestic fights for a while. Any chance this could happen?

Williams is top tier domestic level and there's no evidence that he is above that now, despite putting in some good performances lately. In the Smith rematch he was comprehensively beaten and Smith is Euro/fringe world level.

Now look back at Eubank's record and he has WASHED a lot of decent fighters at domestic level. So comprehensively that they were dangerous one-sided beatings. He ended the careers of Tom Doran and Nick Blackwell who were both very good at domestic level. They were brutal dominations. He battered Gary O'Sullivan pillar-to-post, another solid top domestic/Euro fighter.

I'm not saying that Williams is at the level that Doran, Blackwell and O'Sullivan were at when Eubank fought them. I rank Williams slightly higher than all three and he has more power and more ability.

But Eubank has consistently proven that he is far beyond domestic and Euro level. He has only ever lost to genuine world class boxers and both fights were close (Groves outclassed him but was on the brink at the end). If Eubank and Williams are ever matched whether it is at MW or some sort of catchweight I guarantee Eubank would maul him just like he mauls anyone not at world level.

    Fair enough

Im gonna have to respectfully disagree with this bud
After watching both fights i saw absolutely no improvement in that department
His last fight in fact, he was all be it for one round dominated
