I'd love to see this. Both are 2nd generation boxers with slick and skilled fathers. They are probably among the most naturally gifted young middleweights from the UK and US respectively. Both just recently began to step up in class. Monroe has the edge in quantity of live bodies faced (twice as many: Bondas, Kopylenko, Adams, Vera stacked against CEJ's Saunders and Chudinov) while either of Eubank's trumps any of Monroe's...even with the BJS clash a loss, given that it was very close. They both have very quick hands for the division but don't always sit down on punches as much as they could.
Sidebar: if their dads fought...? :think STB was bigger and did more overall but lacks a win anywhere near as good as Worm's best (over a near-prime ATG).
This would make a perfect co-feature to DeGale vs. Dirrell, which is basically the same thing another division up. (slick & quick mobile Brit vs. slick & quick mobile Yank)
What is it with boxers naming their children Jr? Aaron Pryor Jr, Hector Camacho Jr, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Chris Eubank Jr, etc.
If you are a boxer with a famous name, say Muhammad Ali, what the heck else are you gonna name your kid, Joe Ali, Sugar Bob Leonard, Big Bill Forman???
I think Willie Jr. is the son of Willie "Body Rock" Monroe, not the more famous Willie The Worm...:think
