Even tried to stare Saunders down like he was some Latvian cab driver. Didn't work out like he thought it would
Had Eubank started the way he finished - it may have worked. At the very least it would have been very interesting. Eubank is far from the finished article...and I'm not a boxer but it looks like he make enough small changes to really improve his chances of becoming a decent contender.
If Eubank JR is that awful it doesn't say much for BJS that he almost lost to him. Especially when you consider that Eubank only started fighting after round 5.
you missed the point he is awful because his dad said he will be the best ever and can beat golovkin right now in that terms he is more then awful the guy who eubank lost to yesterday (billy) would also be awful compared to golovkin
What the hell are you talking about? He's a great fighter. It was a close fight. He'll be world champ soon, and I'll dig up this stupid thread.
Can't believe there are some out there who actually thought (or perhaps still inexplicably even think) that Eubank Jr. was going to be special. I'm not saying the guy is a total bum or anything but he has about as much chance as becoming a special fighter as Kellie Maloney does of winning Miss World beauty pageant. The only thing he had going for him last night was the size and power advantage he held over Saunders. He's a big MW, whereas I've always felt Saunders is a blown up 154 pounder who would be much better suited to campaigning down at that weight.
Will be interesting to see how he responds. I have a feeling this fight might have broken him. I think he thought he would blast Saunders away when in reality the fight showed he has a lot to work on.
