Eubank has been fighting aggressive sluggers lately in preparation for a showdown with Gennady Golovkin. Chris has not only been knocking these guys out, but also embarrassing them in the process. It may look like he's taking punishment at moments, but he's rolling with the punches and the only guy who's getting hurt is the opponent. When Eubank is forced to be the aggressor, he isn't at his best (like in the Saunders fight), but when his opponent is the aggressor, Chris slowly deconstructs him and then gets the late stoppage. Golovkin vs Eubank is a 50/50 fight, folks. It's time to take off your blindfolds and look at Eubank's modus operandi. :deal
Eubank is too erratic and doesn't have the power to trouble Golovkin. It will be a high reel KO for GGG.
The only message that Eubank Jr. sent to Golovkin today was that he can be easily hurt by a soft grazing type shot to the side of the head.
CEJ vs Jacobs is the fight to make. Would be interesting to see how Chris deals with a fighter considerably faster than him. Jacobs can punch too, but Chris has shown he can take it, and he no doubt has the heart of a champion. A true 50/50 fight IMO Murray today (well he's a SMW now) would still beat Blackwell. Dude was recently robbed in Germany (suprise suprise) for the SMW title fight vs Abraham, Murray is no joke.
Also note that in his interview post fight, when asked who he wanted, he said BJS or Jacobs. Strong message indeed.
