Chris Eubank Sr demonstrating an absolute GRANITE IRON CHIN!

    Just press play, first clip. Thompson fools Eubank into thinking he is hurt and then unleashed a MONSTER RIGHT HAND WHICH EUBANK TOOK WITHOUT CHANGING HIS FACIAL EXPRESSION!!!!!

    Eubank then knocks Thompson down with an uppercut. Eubank literally just took one of the biggest punches of his career and his face looks as relaxed as someone who is casually doing their tax returns on a Sunday morning.

    I believe Eubank Sr. may have had the best chin of all time.

    Awesome chin. Think it was only a month or so back, in a thread asking for examples of fighters absorbing big shots, that I mentioned the leaping left hook he ate as casually as a mouthful of Skittles in the 10th round of his rematch with Benn.


    The Cat was very cute at playing possum, by the way. Did it often throughout his career and with some notable success.

    I think Eubanks took that fight at short notice as well...is Jnr a chip off the old block...lol hardly...

    tyson - Pinklon Thomas was brutal...couldn't see AJ , Wilder or Fury surving that!...

    Yeah Thompson did that sometimes and sometimes he was hurt and you didn't quite know if he was playing possum or really hurt. I rewatched their fights a while ago and after this punch you can see Eubank is much more reserved about running in when Thompson appears hurt. There are a couple of points where Thompson seems hurt but Eubank is reluctant to go for it. I guess he didn't want to run into a huge punch like he did there. He was actually running into the punch there. Insane chin. In the post fight interview after one fight the interviewer asks Eubank why he didn't push for it when Thompson appeared hurt and Eubank said that he didn't think Thompson was actually hurt and was playing possum. Thompson always says he was playing possum when he gets asked about if he was hurt.
