Only thing I'm sure off is it goes the distance as both have chins you could use as anvils. There will be no late come from behind KO wins like we saw vs Watson and Taylor. I could see Froch jabbing and out working Eubank like Collins did but then again I could see Eubank forcing Froch to lead and chase with his slightly better movement and far more elusive defence and then counter and on coming Froch which stylistically suits Eubank. Also would Eubank's eccentricity and persona get under Froch's skin like Groves did for their first fight. If it does I could see Froch being sloppy early and giving away early rounds. I'm inclined to pick Eubank to edge a close fight but that's because he's one of my favourite fighters. Reality is it might take more than one fight to find a conclusive winner. Froch's work rate vs Eubank's cleaner punching, might be a tough one for the judges.
Eubank. Remember watching groves v froch...which was a good fight. Then watched eubank v benn. Tbh the latter was on a different skill level altogether. Its always difficult comparing eras because the game changes quickly...but in terms of skill level...eubank was on a higher skill level than froch. Think world titles etc are slightly misleading as eubanks era was littered with better fighters. Even guys that we,rent all that highly regarded because they we,rent the top 3 or 4 guys we,re very good fighters.
It would very close but I would give Froch the edge to steal a decision. Eubank although more skilled had the habit of fighting at a very slow pace and a low punch output. I would see Froch adjusting and realising that he could win rounds from output alone. Both men have iron mandibles so no chance of a stoppage here.
