    I get your point, but I think it's some sort of compensation method for the times you guys get carried away with your countries athletes.

    At least in boxing it happens over and over again, many are completely missing the shortcomings of your fighters when they're heading into big fights, and seem to favor them entirely on the fact that they're from the UK, like that would help them in any way when they're in the ring.
    Then after a couple fell flat on their faces (some litterally), the oppossite happens and fighters get underrated as some sort of safety net. And some fighters are getting ridiculed for their confidence.

    Though in Eubank's case, it's so enormously obvious that he has nothing on GGG that you know you're not fooling anybody if you say "my son will beat him right now", because that has nothing to do with confidence anymore.

    I look at this in two ways ;

    1. Eubank is crazy. GGG hammers his son.

    2. Eubank is crazy and he beat Nigel Benn who was a massive favorite and not many had Eubank. I certainly didnt.

    I love this over confidence in eubank jr. It's gonna lead to him getting hurt

    It's just hype he wouldn't put his son in with GGG imo
