Nax Schmeling was a great fighter who beat other great fighters. Tiberi was not.

Personally, I had Reggie Johnson and Tiberi beating Toney, but admittedly, he was superb at his best. Not that it matters much. No argument can be made for him being the greatest 160-pounder ever.

 

Max and Dave had no comparisons, some like Fleisher considered Max all time top ten material and his skilled right hand rates with the best the division has offered. I think you'd do better just stating what your after then these off who beat who bouts.

So Toney totally dominated an ATG at 160 to match Foremans win over Frazier? Did Toney come back to 160 after about 20 years and win a title again?

 

I would take anything Eubak says with a grain of salt. Like the way he speaks, the way he dressed in his heyday, the way he presented himself, it was all designed to make him appear different from the rest. This comment is no different. It's made to make us mere mortals wonder what incredible insight Eubank has that we average dolts that would pick Greb or Monzon or Hagler do not.

He's simply a born contrarian. Ironically a fairly predictable answer from someone like him.
