Eubank sometimes dropped to the level of his opponents. If he fought Hopkins you'd see the best of Eubank which would make it a close fight.
Eubank yet again gets underestimated. Hopkins has NEVER faced someone as physically strong as Eubank, so how can you make such an assured assumption? I have to think about this one more though.
Sorry Russell but BHop isn't stopping Eubank, unless he had 50 rounds to do it and Chris falls over through sheer exhaustion. This fight has 'decision' written all over it and the awkward, immensely strong Eubank would give BHop a rough night, though I would fancy Hopkins to sneak it over 12.
Hopkins would win. However, not an easy fight for him by any means. Eubank has a very cagey style, which is the kind of style Hopkins doesn't like. Jones' style proved too much for him and Taylor was in and out cautiously. In my opinion Taylor presented Hopkins with a mirror image of himself throughout the vast majority of both fights. Eubank would be on the backfoot behind the jab waiting for the right moments to score and get away again. A tactical match-up with some heated exchanges would probably be on the menu here, no doubt about it. Hopkins 115-113/116-112.
