well I think Benns bombs that he was bashing into Geralds head for 10 rounds might have something to do with that

McClellan UD for me. Eubank would last the distance but doesnt have the stamina to be able to keep up with McClellan. Second half of the fight would be completely one sided

 Ah yes, because unlike you Sitiyzal, I've never seen that forgotten classic, that obscure black-and-white purists' favourite, that little hidden gem, Steve Collins vs Chris Eubank!! Only true historians like you have seen it, not know-nothing novices like myself. I bow to your vastly superior knowledge and wisdom as ever.

Far be it from a nobody like me to even suggest that Eubank's complacent, toothless display against Collins culminating in a sloppy KD is evidence that a ferocious powerpuncher like McClellan could have got that version of Eubank out of there.

As usual you are right, you venerable sage, and I am wrong as I am an empty-headed boxrec fanatic!! :patsch

terrible analysis. the only time mclellan went past 8 was in the Benn fight, and we know what happened there. Eubank however went the full 12 countless times. my guess is you know jack about Eubank .

at 160 - where Benn was raw as hell and had zero ring intelligence. At 168, who deserved to win?

for what its worth i think in '95 eubank was past his best and would have been stopped by the beast mclellan. prime eubank may have taken him into the later rounds and drowned him. great fight anyway.

As much as I liked Eubank, McClellan was a monster who had ferocious power and as good as his chin was and as awkward as his style was it would be too difficult for him to keep the GMan away.

Eubank did have a good chin but it wasn't impregnable Watson had in trouble a few times and Calzaghe knocked him down, McClellan hit harder than both of them. Also when McClellan fought Benn I couldn't see anyway back for Benn after he was throughly smashed in the 1st round and then again KD in the 8th it was a testament to Benn that he kept on fighting even though I think now a days the fight would have been stopped. As good as Eubank was , and was elite imo, I can't see him beating McClellan especially not after the Watson fight.

Induced by Benns megaton punches. Therefore Benn stoped him.
