It's hard to pick against Hopkins in a fight like this, but I think Eubank could definitely give Hopkins fits. I see it being very close. Hopkins would probably win, but not sure who would get the decision. Good thread!

Eubank would take the first few rounds as per usual, Hopkins being tall and upright gives him plenty of body to tap before pulling out of range, but once Hopkins found his range and timing with the right hand against Eubank's awkward stances and moves he'd begin to land it occasionally.

I think long lead left hooks from Hopkins followed by right hands would be the key though. For Eubank the key would be to use the ring and the angles and get in low and out again. A close one. Maybe Hopkins takes enough rounds down the stretch for a close decision, but a lot of the fight could be a staring contest! Hopkins would need to force the fight.

Hopkins has a proven style weakness to fast 2 handed fighters his own size. When Hopkins has fought that style he hasnt had much success ie Jones Jnr, J Taylor twice, Calzaghe, Pascal. Hopkins hasnt been able to win 7 world title fights and 8 fights in total. Eubank is far better than Mercado. Eubank is Hopkins size. Eubank can fight in many different styles.
Eubank is far better than anyone Hopkins beat at MW and better than the fighters Hopkins lost to.
    Eubank by clear decision

Prime Eubank is 10x better than J.Taylor. My guess is that BHOP would underestimate Eubanks like how he underestimated Calzaghe and lose by close SD or UD.

Guaranteed boring fight IMO. Two cautious fighter with solid chins although Eubanks has the edge in power but no doubt would go the distance.
