flip a coin.. i voted for a draw but id give a slight edge to toney only because hes a bit harder to hit
I'd say Eubank decision, but I'll go for a Draw as there are so many variables. One thing is CERTAIN, and 100 % certain, is that barring headbutts/cuts it goes the distance.
"Boy Ima knock you out, then party at Burger Kiaang! Anyone that steps in the ring with me gotta get taught a lesson." .... "Please.... let us have some parlimentary procedure here. I don't hate the man but I will show on the night in question who has more versatility."
I guess I am the only person on ESB that beleives that Eubank would decision Toney. I have always felt that Eubank gets sold short and to me is very underrated....and equally felt that Toney was little overrated as well. I just don't see Toney being active enough here, and fighting 30 seconds a round won't be enough.
No I think the knock on Toney has always been that he had tremendous talent, but did not always use it. The McCallum fights are prime examples where he did not fight entire rounds. RJJ just was a bad style match-up for him, more than not going all out.
I don't think i ever saw Eubank brawl. He almost always was looking to counter or potshot, delivering his punches in a mostly proper manner out of his boxing stance with a minimum of wasted motion. He could certainyl be forced into exchanges with persistant aggressive fighters that set a high pace though. I think the comepetitiveness of this matchup would depend on who gets the other to lead most often.tend to favour toney by 2 or 3 points, but if one of the other turns up out of form as is often the case this could be a terribly dull non-event.
Eubank was so not a brawler, more of an awkward counter-puncher who liked to use unusual angles and occasionally switch-hitted. For that reason alone this fight has all the hallmarks of being an absolute stinker. I like Toney by close decision in a competitive fight. Neither man is getting knocked out, which makes the vote for a Toney KO absolutely ridiculious.
