Wouldn't being good\capable at world level indicate he was world class?. Everyone has their own definition of terms like world class.Sims wouldn't make it if you reserve it for genuinely excellent to great fighters, but he was a solid top ten contender type for a number of years.2nd tier in his own time imo, there were always at least 4-5 fighters better or more highly regarded than him in the division, but he had solid tools, good power and plenty of heart without doing that much notably. He would have had a good career had he come along ten-fifteen years later. At least even money with PAvlik, Taylor, Martinez etc and better than guys like Joppy and Holmes.
:goodI happen to like most of this post,Lora.Nice job.But as you said,he was 2nd tier and, honestly, was not an underrated victory for Benn.I would have had him even money with Taylor, too, but I like the 160 pound Pavlik of Taylor 1 and the Pavlik version of Martinez over any version of Sims.
