Easy points win for Eubank with Eubank hurting Pavlik badly but lacking the killer instinct to finish him off.
LOLOLOLOL. IDIOTS. Basing it on their records you YANK CLOWNS. Anyone who knows boxing knows Yanks NEVER rate foreign fighters and they also know that Benn and Eubank were TOP CLASS, especially if bloody Hopkins is on that list.
He is right, because Benn would have shattered RJJ jaw long Before Tarver did, Benn beat McClennan, who beat RJJ as an amateur, benn would have battered Hopkins. Prime Eubank i.e Eubank from the first Benn fight would have out hustled RJJ but, i am not sure he'd have won, but it be close, and he would have had teh edge on Hopkins too. Eubank would basically murder Pavlik in 3 rounds.
They play in the same league like RJJ, Hopkins or SRL. You know, I'm a biased AA fan from Germany, but I try to be as objective as possible. Eubank and Benn were great fighters. Both were real fighters with sturdy chins. Both were always in perfect shape and had decent pop in their punches. Both would've given AA a hard time. RJJ was fast, he really operated in light speed mode, but these two guys would've been no easy fights for him. Both would've been very competitive to say the least. Hopkins would've lost 8 out of 10 against Benn and 10 out of 10 against prime Eubank.
Dreadful style match up for Pavlik - he isnt knocking Eubank out and he is certainly not outboxing him. Kelly visits the canvas before losing a decision!
You have a point. People are too quick to jump to Eubank's defence, he really should have gone looking for fights against Jones Jr, Toney, Nunn, McCallum and Kalambay amongst others. It was his prerogative not theirs to force the fight. Those guys didnt need Eubank, he needed them. Having said that Europe was overflowing with talent at that time around super-middleweight. Belittling Rocchigiani is ridiculous, he was a good figher and going to Germany to fight him and win was a terrific performance. Wasted talent though most definitely.
Eubank is a different class. Pre Watson fight he'd win by stoppage. Post Watson then a decision victory.
