I score it for Benn but many do for Eubank. I had them alternating rounds personally until Benn broke that pattern grabbing the 8th, 9th and 10th. Like Eubank 1, Benn 2, Eubank 3, Benn 4, Eubank 5, Benn 6... Eubank won the 11th and Benn had a point taken so a draw isn't out the question, I know you gave Benn the 3rd for the hook at the end? The 7th is hard to give to either but harder to give to Benn than Eubank because Benn just plodded forward, ate some uppercuts and gave some rabbit punches. But many give Benn the 7th on workrate, I think?
I watched Eubank-Watson 1 (on TV admittedly) with an ex-pro mate of mine. We both thought Watson well won it, but my mate said "Watson won it but they'll give it to Eubank" with a wink & a knowing smile. He was right. Regarding Eubank-Benn 2, I thought Benn won it, close but clear, but was unsurprised when they scored it a draw. It was, imo, a politically convenient decision. Think about it...a unification fight, where financially the draw is the best result, as both giys walk away with their belts still round their waists, both can still defend their titles & both can continue to make money. Two different champs = twice as many title fights, twice as much money to be earned by the promotors, organisations etc.
This was one of Eubank's best defensive performances.Watson hardly landed anything solid and looked the lesser boxer-puncher for most of the fight when both were fencing at ring centre, this despite being the more consistent offensively. Eubank's more inconsistent offensive quality and sharpness\stamina made it a close, often tough to score fight anyway though.
