Horrible match-up for Eubank. The man could box effectively when he wanted too, and his power is often underrated, but he was so lazy and casual in the ring that a work horse like Nunn would win the majority of the rounds...and easily. He'd dart in and out, and pepper Eubank with jabs all night long. Eubank doesn't really have the equalizer to stop Nunn, even if he does have respectable power, so I'd envision a wide decision in favor of Nunn, who's taller, more skilled, and just a lot busier. Eubank gets countered as he tries to get inside the reach of Nunn, and obviously has no answer on an outside altercation.

I say Nunn. For me Style wise Nun would be too quick and slick. If he turned up in shape and in form I see him picking his way to a decision.

Also when it comes to action, this fight would suck balls...

i LIKE EUBANK IN THIS FIGHT...I THINK HIS BOXING SKILLS AND ABILITY TO PUNCH AND MOVE WOULD HELP HIM....I KNOW NUNN WAS VERY ACTIVE BUT CHRIS COULD TAKE HIM INTO DEEP WATERS AND BOX HIM FROM THE OUTSIDE

Eubank loses on the outside. Nunn is taller and has a longer reach. As if that wasn't enough, the dude was a southpaw. Why would anyone want to fight this guy is beyond me. Eubank didn't have the capacity to take Michael into deep waters, his best chance in this fight is to get another gift decision like so many other times in his career. Eubank was 5'10, Nunn 6'3, Eubanks best chance is to get inside, and he didn't really have the determination and urgency to do it.

Interestingly Eubank thought he'd beat Nunn, or so he said. He stated in 1990 that only Herol Graham had the skills to beat him!

This sounds about right. I rewatched Toney - Nunn last week and remembered how many good shots it took for James to wear him down. Everybody just remembers the stoppage, but Toney had to put serious work in that night.

I think you've got to favor Nunn, but all bets are off if Eubank lands the perfect right hand counter. It would be there for him against a lefty.

And his chin. Rounds 8,9,10 & 11 before that left hook Nunn took some massive, clean shots right on the chin in all of those rounds. Toney really started coming on and landing some bombs, i was shocked that he didn't get dropped before the 11th.

Exactly. It really was a tremendous effort by both of them.
