I don't pretend to know British boxing but I do have a question about this thread. Wasn't Eubank a super middleweight? Hatton has struggled at 147 as his fights with Collazo and Maywhether can attest to. Eubank beat a killer in Nigel Benn who was a vicious puncher and fought with an aggressive, take no prisoners style. Eubank looked way too large and strong for Hatton IMO. I guess Hatton is like their superman over in England. If Eubank was a solid SMW and Hatton's best weight is 140 this would be over quickly in Eubank's favor.

Not Maywhether though right? He did a good impression of an american football player though when he went headfirst into the turnbuckle while being KTFO.

On a side note.. which Raider player is that in your avatar, Sardu?

At least I THINK it is a Raider, it's hard to tell regarding a B & W photo.

That is former Oakland Raider and Houston Oiler great Dave Casper. The original 'ghost' before Pavlik 'stole' the nickname. Casper was voted into the pro football hall of fame in 2002. Okay, I better stop talking about something so uniquely american before the Brits on here start getting cranky and insulting. Maywhether said in the Ring magazine he could not believe Hatton's fans were singing that corny Christmas Hatton song all throughout the fight. By the way Rocco, are you related to the Marciano family? Rocky had a son who could be about your age named Rocco Kevin. IS that you by any chance? Thanks.

I have a feeling you are acquainted with the Marciano family somehow. I hope the Rock's son doesn't read this or you might have some explaining to do LOL.

I'm actually in the Mafia

Wonder if I should have exposed that one?

Rocky is just my favourite boxer, nothing more.

And I'm in the FBI - you are under arrest. :hi: We are not making stereotypes about italian-americans now are we Rocco? :yikes The Rock is a great choice to have as your favorite. My favorite boxer is the legendary "Hurricane" Peter McNeely who should make a comeback and 'envelope some of these boring current heavyweights in a cocoon of horror.'

This is a bizarre question. Eubank easily. Eubank is a super middleweight who, past his prime gave Calzaghe a decent fight and who in his prime would have gave any SMW a run for their money.

Hatton struggled every time he went up to 148 - thats 20lbs below Eubanks fighting weight.

It really turns boxing fans against Hatton when such outlandish claims are made about him.
    What next
    Hatton V Calzaghe
    Hatton V Kessler

    ?????
