WBF Lightweight Title Chris Goodwin vs Oisin ***an Before anyone gets started, forget about the title, whats everyones opinion on this fight? Is Goodwin experienced enough for a seasoned fighter like ***an or has ***an took too much punishment and ripe for the taking by a prospect like Goodwin?
will goodwin get a wba title shot in a higher weight divison if he beats the school teacher, some one did :-verysad
Goodwin will beat ***an who wasnt bad in his prime but is past it now and Goodwin though not a great fighter certainly isnt bad. Goodwin 116-112 pts decision
the thing about ***an was despite having no boxing experience he was a natural athlete and learned to do the basics well, constant pressure and super fitness and doing everything well but not spectacular was what led to him being a handful for anyone, not to mention his typical irish iron chin
***an has an iron chin? where was it against Amir Khan when he was like bambi on ice for 3 rounds, and after giving it the typical irish hardnut act in the build up....pathetic!!
Haha, Cairns- either you don't really know your boxing, or you take what they say on Sky Sports as gospel-truth, or are a huge Khan fan. I think ***an would still have been beaten against Khan but the lad broke his leg in the first round and hobbled along in the 2nd til his corner threw in the towel. Sky Sports didn't want to announce it, as Khan was the goldenboy of Sky and it sounds better for TV that Khan "hammers" him rather than the truth that ***an broke his leg. I am a doc at the hospital he came to the next day and we had to study the tape to see where it happened. So, it was pretty obvious that it happened in the first round, but the lunatic got up in the 2nd to fight on- that might have been silly or brave, but you're dead wrong Cairns- IRON CHIN is correct- tough as nails. Here's a piece on it- http://brianpeterspromotions.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=55&Itemid=31
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha I remember that, in the build up he smashed a glass The only glass shattered that night was his irish glass
Haha, yeah, "glass leg ***an"- but brave guy getting up with a broken leg. Don't think Khan would have done the same. In fact, I rem when Benn "twisted" his ankle against Collins and stayed down. And there was a few more instances like that, when guys hurt their knee- that guy against Kiltchko, but have NEVER heard of someone trying to bounce around with a broken leg- that's lunacy:nut -some mental toughness though... OUCH !
Bambi on ice? He did well to stay up with a broken leg. "and after giving it the typical irish hardnut act in the build up....pathetic!!"?? No, that's pathetic.
He was more than alright, I was quite disappointed myself in him in that fight til I found out the circumstances around his ankle. Tough guy
aye right mate come on, ***an got dropped by a good counter and snapped his ankle, yet still got up and made it to the next round, I've seen plenty of so called tough fighters quit for less
