Tough fighter for both. However you gotta favor Gamboa out of the 3.
JML i would day beats CJ in a very close fight.
People have understimated JML but he is a solid fighter who will beat most just not Gamboa.

These fights are the deffinition of great style matchups. JuanMa with huge workrate, power but lacks some speed and defense. Gamboa has the speed which creates power and has a win/loose situation when he creates offense and forgets the defense. Chris John is perhaps the lightest puncher but has the reach and height + great work rate and skills.

I doubt very seriously Arum would risk it. Especially Gamboa at this point.

I won't hold my breath because of all the ways these things fall through and don't get done but I'm really happy to hear this from John's camp. He's an excellent fighter who gets unfairly overlooked. I wonder how much he's got left. 43-0-2 is a lot of miles on him.

Dont go by the numbers of Pro fights, reality is Gamboa is more experienced than Lopez, by a mile

Exactly. Arum wants these guys to be huge when they meet, this is a logical step. :thumbsup

John has to be ****ing kidding if he really thinks either lopez or gamboa will go to ****ing bali to fight him...he is the one that nobody knows around here,he is the one who needs to move his ass to get a good fight..he could have 25 belts ,still boxing is business and people like to see the kinds of gamboa or lopez... he wants to fight,he must to come to USA...do u think Arumm will risk a fight in Indonesia?...

Yes, Johns should come to the US. OR, make sure they are paid well to go overseas.
