Just watching some fights on youtube and came across the John-Juarez fight and it reminded me of his little experiment to try and crack the US.

So he struggles with a B- fighter in one decent and one average fight and goes back to fighting cans. Its quite shameful though that hes had the title for 8 years and fought one legit top 5 fighter in Marquez.

Is he the worst title hoarder?

    Yordan isn't a can.

Neither is Kimura, who was coming directly off a win over Lee.

Just because he fights at home a lot doesn't mean he's hoarding the title.

    Educate yourself before casting aspersions.

As for worst title holder, no, he isn't even close.

That distinction currently belongs to K9 Bundrage or Sonny Boy Jaro.

It happens because his fans back home don't give two shits who he fights, as long as he's fighting.

    Kinda like UK boxers.

I didnt call Yordan a can, I actually watched Yordan against Cabellero and he was a good fighter, but not top 10. I havent seen Kimura so I wont comment on him.

My main point is that if you held a title for that long and only fought one top 5, arguably top 10 opponent in that time thats borderline disgraceful, though he is not the only culprit

John is a WEAK title holder, stop defending him. Gamboa team pushed hard for a John fight way back and they ran away. Are you really trying to make the argument that Yordan is a good title defense? please, just please. Yordan has done nothing on the world stage except lose to Caballero.

Lol what? Are you from the UK? If not thats a stupid assertion, though I assume your talking about Hatton and Calzaghe and you know they fought legit opponents during an 8 year span of holding there belts.

I know that most countries just like to see fights, but there has to be a limit somewhere

    You don't know ****.

Yordan matched up very poorly in terms of dimensions and style against Caballero, but he is obviously world class. The fact that you think he hasn't proven that and cite his loss to Caballero as his only claim to fame demonstrates that you've never even seen him outside of that. So you know nothing. So you should really STFU.

He was giving Robert Guerrero hell before the head clash, gave John his toughest fight since Marquez, and destroyed Archuleta and Villanueva.

John is a very solid champion, which any educated fan knows. The fact that he didn't want Gamboa doesn't change that.

Man Guerroro didn't quit against Yordan, people always like to throw those things around after a NC like in the Arce fight

He's a runner-up alongside Stieglitz. :yep His power makes him dangerous, so he isn't quite down on the bottom rung with K9 and Jaro (although they basically slugged their way to a belt as well...both against faded elites..)

    Have you actually seen it?

I like Guerrero a lot, have defended him on this board over the years more than maybe anyone...but he did kinda duck a rematch with Daud and for a very clear reason.
