Intriguing fight really. Ive always felt that John has what it takes to take advantage of all the foolish mistakes that Gamboa makes in there..

    Interesting fight.

As much as I can see Gamboa knocking John out, John has a style that is great against guys like Gamboa.

Boy that would be nice... And yea it would be a much tougher matchup than the Juanma Marquez match.. John is proven as a champion and at the weight. He isn't shopworn and is smart and patient enough to exploit Gamboa, Cab, or Juanma..

this would be a huge victory over a very talented fighter for Gamboa. John is criminally slept on and the epitome of a high risk/ low reward fight. If Gamboa takes this fight he's the man, def a way more difficult fight than Lopez or Caballero have fought. A win over John puts Gamboa leaps and bounds ahead of Lopez and Caba

Hell yeah the World FW Champion is better than facing a shot Rafa Marquez or Izzy Vazquez, I'm actually very happy that Gamboa is scheduled for unification fights instead of the battle worn Mexican warriors for the name value. I thought Vazquez and Marquez gave enough to boxing not to end up on the next generation's resume, and I hate the idea of JuanMa vs. Rafa. 3 years ago at 122 it would've been a different story, but for Chrissakes, it's 2010 and the 126 class.

hadnt read the article yet, but if its a possibility, thats a dream come true. It'll show either Chris John IS NOT the hype i believe him to be, or that Gamboa, who will be his first "Big Puncher" opponent, will expose him badly....
