It looks he'll be doing a mandatory in Indonesia. The recovery is speeding up. Would be nice seen him next yr against Gamboa,Lopez(If beats Marquez-wich he should)or caballero if goes down again at 126.
a mandatory in Indonisia, probably won't be a great fight then, but I hope he gets some big fights next year. he deserves them
he is the champ at 126...but must come to USA if want the big fights and the big money..nobody is going to Indonesia to fight him.
He's not fighting any mandatory. He CHOSE to "defend" against the #14 rated of the WBA, a bum with only one KO in almost 40 fights. I say "defend" because he won't be able to defend shiet. He's not champ anymore, Gamboa is. He is now "champion in recess", in order to be champion again he has to fight Gamboa and gain back his belt. The thing is, WBA is making John-Gamboa mandatory with a January deadline to give him a chance to get back his belt, Gamboa said just today that he wants the fight, yet John goes on and chooses to fight a bum in Indonesia as he always does. Then some people wonder why so many of us don't respect Chris John. I know he's coming back from a long layoff, but his defenses are always this bad. Chris John is a fragile mothereffer that will get beaten extremely easily by any of the top dogs (Rojas, Gamboa, Juanma, Caballero). I don't know how he beat Marquez... Marquez was probably suffering from jetlag or something... and even then, I saw him winning.
wow, i just looked at this dudes record and once again the WBA is a ****ing joke sanctioning this fight as a world title. in the last 4 years he has had only 1 fight that was a scheduled 12 rounder. no ten rounders. 8 other fights that were 4 rounders, 6 or 8 rounders. the last few years the guy has had 30 plus fights, fighting guys with 5 wins....amazing that this guy is ranked 14.....
