Apparently John came back to dominate Saucedo, as expected. I'm a little suprised, it was so lopsided, I figured at least a little rust, but then again Saucedo is no world beater.

Either way good to see John back

I don't really know Saucedo but from what I gather he's feather-fisted and a shameful but frustrating spoiler. This may be John's last title fight victory.

hmmmmm maybe. If he was, I wonder if it still pains him that he KO'd poor Hardy Paredes in the second round.

At least Saucedo didn't throw a spanner in the works and derail John-Gamboa.

    1. Good avatar.

    2. I still doubt Arum is brave enough to let Gamboa-John happen before Gamboa-Lopez. John will be the underdog, but he will be a live underdog and can easily spoil his plan.

    Cheers.

I read on B-scene that the new plan from Top Rank is to postpone JuanMa-Gamboa for "at least another year". Hopefully this isn't true but if it is, they'll have to put Gamboa in with guys like John if they want to make the eventual fight bigger than it would be now.

Arum really wasn't kidding when he said "**** the fans".

Arum obviously wants to put Lopez and Gamboa together only if it is for p4p #1 position and that won't happen soon. He is making a mistake, out of the "neighbourhood", including Rojas, John, Hasegawa, Vazquez Jr., Rigondeaux someone may interfere...

I dunno, I'm not saying this was anything special, it's just good John didn't let this one be competitve, because if this was at all competitive then I would think he's done. But I do think John should've got the ko over this guy.

Imho I think John will get another victory or two, before coming back to the US and lose in a decent payday of a matchup.

    I watch this live.
Daud Yordan got a KO in round 1. One punch. Solar Plexus. 17 seconds into the fight.

Chris John's fight is equally boring. Saucedo got a very frustating style. Think of a poor poor man's Winky Wright, minus the workrates and the jabs. Plus he taunt all the time

Anyway, CJ look thin. I heard that making the 126 limit is getting harder for him.

I wasn't slagging off the win or anything. I don't know this guy well enough to put him in the "should have knocked him out" category either. I mean, John isn't a puncher and I don't know if this guy has an iron chin or what. I know he went the distance with Freitas who had hella heavy hands.

Chris John badly want a KO cause he hasnt able to do that since ... 5-6 years ago?! I guess... I'd rather see him fighting a smart fight then turning into something he's not. He tried too hard to be a fighter but he's no KO artist
