Many fans would never of heard of him but this fighter deserves more recognition His sensational schooling of jaun mannel marquez was a beauty to watch.. He never had great power infact lacked it but made up for it for his incredible boxing iq it was such a shame many would not even know who he is, He never had the backing he deserved He retired 52-1 with only one loss and was unbeaten for 52 fights before his first loss :bbb
Agreed Jmm never wanted a rematch with him i recall even though John said he would give him one. Chris was too crafty and skillful for Jaun and he did not want to risk anther schooling
John was cut from the same cloth as the likes of Sturm. One setback and they never dared to be great again. Heck of a fighter with a solid resume but what did he really accomplish? :think And didn´t Marquez fight him for peanuts? I highly doubt he would have gotten a better deal in the rematch and another loss could have been very bad for Marquez.
