i've been calling for this fight for a really long time. Linares has more potential than John but the question that comes into play is experience. I used to say John UD, but I tihnk that now at 130, this is in Linares' favour because he can pack more power in his punches, while John remains featherfisted. Linares by UD. Close fight though. Don't judge John only on the Juarez fight he was not at 100%
I would love to see this fight I don't know who would win I'd favor Linares i like his style and he's effective while remaining cool headed.
I think John wins easily. Linares is not as good as the Larios fight suggests. John is an excellent technician who'd win a UD.
That's a little far fetched bruh.. JOhn can certainly win , but easily? I dont think so and you're underestimating Linares here.. Say what u want about him but he did school Larios and he dominated Gamaliel Diaz in route to a 8th rd knockout.. Diaz who gave Robert Guerrero his first loss.. Dont get wrong. Im not using the ABC logic here but im just saying.. That has to mean something.. John may win but it wouldnt be easy... That's insane.. It's a 50-50 fight. Personally, id pick Linares.
Larios was way past his best and Diaz is nothing more than a journeyman who put on a pathetic fight against Soto. right now Linares is an unproven fighter and John would be a hug step in comp for him and he would lose a clear decision.
Yea Larios was past his best but he wasn't shot and nobody has dominated him the way Linares did.. Even pacman didn't look that good against larios.. Gamaliel Diaz got beat by Soto because Linares softened him up.. Im just saying. John can win but it wouldn't be easy.. Plus Linares has filled out nicely at 130 and he packs one hell of a punch compared to john.
I thought Juarez won his fight with chris John, Linares is in a different class from Rocky Juarez. Jorge Linares by mid rounds ko.
Linares has the speed and power advantage, though John has shown a good chin. I think it would be competitive but I believe Linares would either win a decision or overwhelm John in the late rounds. Linares is pretty sound boxing wise for being as young as he is. I like to see this fight but I see Linares fighting at 135 very soon so it seems unlikely to happen.
