    I just heard that Chris John will probably fight JuanMa next, is this true or just rumors? I thought that John was obligated to fight Yuriorkis Gamboa next! :huh

    Any news on this?

    Haven't heard anything like that, Gamboa is scheduled to face John before March ...

    Maybe other posters here know if this is true or not!

    I read on Rafael's that John/Gamboa will never happen because they'll never agree to the money. John wants too much and is too unknown in the states. That said, I can't understand how John/Lopez would ever happen either.

    Real Deal, I went into your profile but couldn't find it. Where do I look for it? I am always interested in all Cuban boxers specially Gamboa but took some time off posting here to relax for a while...

    That's what I figured too, but Rafael was certain that it wouldn't happen and I gotta figure he's more in the know. Now a days, it seems the WBA doesn't exactly enforce their mandatories for years. They must make more money off two established title holders rather than one legit champion.

    Found it! Very good interview!

    So it seems that John-Gamboa will not happen then. Well, Litzau is a pretty decent opponent ( at least he beat Caballero recently ), but Gamboa will make him look silly. Let's just wait and see who will be Yuriorki's next victim.

    is top rank waiting for gamboa to turn 33 to make the lopez gamboa fight? or are they just prolonging it enough hoping that gamboa will blow his chance?

    I also heard from pretty good sources that Gamboa and Litzau are negotiating for a march scrap on hbo

    It's very probable! I think that they know Gamboa will beat Lopez if they fought now, maybe they are waiting for Gamboa to get old. Either way, it will be nice to see Yuri fight on March and if it's against Litzau then bring him on. Nice fight, nice learning experience for Yuri but the Caballero fans will be very upset when they see what Gamboa will do to the man who beat Caballero.

    This will be a similar pattern than when Gamboa easily defeated Mtagwa, the guy that almost had Lopez KO'ed! :-(

    it is a pretty nice scrap for sure im all in for that one, im judt pissed that top rank is plaing dirty politics with gamboa when he is signed with them
