Who takes it? John carry the win over JMM while PAC not.
Both are currently dominant in their weight class.
    So: Indonesia or Philliphines?

Could be a tricky match for Pac. Haven't seen enough of Johns to comment. Would love to see his fight vs Marquez to see who ACTUALLY won.

I've seen it, Marquez took him an easy 8-4, it was a typical hometown robbery. The bad part about all of these robberies is that it puts an undeserved black spot on Marquez's record, where he deserved a win.

Fair enough. I would probably go with Pac then... How do you think it would play out considering you have seen both fighters against JMM?

Pac would blast John out of there in a matter of rounds in my opinion. John is far too tentative to face a swarmer who blazes in like Pac and he has no power to keep Pac off. John did nothing effective against JMM and JMM was definitley having an off, unmotivated night, just doing enough to 'win' against a very mediocre opponent, but they gave it to John wrongfully because it was an easy fight to score.

A full on Marquez would have KOed John in my opinion, maybe we can get John out of Indonesia to get KOed proper by any of the best guys.

JMM won that fight, In fight like that I usually would have said the point deductions really hurt him , it took a clear win to a close fight and your usually hard pressed to get a close fight in the other guys hometown. But it looked they were always going to rob JMM unless he was real dominant, because they gave it by pretty wide scores to John and point deductions didnt really make a difference.

John is pretty talented but he doesnt fight enough, he does fight to defensive a lot of the time.
Havent really seen enough of John against good opposition, he wasnt totally out of his depth against JMM, though he was outclassed for the most of the fight. Just his style wasnt an easy one for JMM to deal with, which means I think most top fighters would find him difficult.

I think Pac would have him in a shell all night and probably would stop him late.

Weren't PAC also outclasted for the most of the fight by JMM (forget first round of course)?
If so then how do you see the direct comparison between John and PAC ...
Who was more "outclasted" by Marquez in the pure boxing sense?

Pac wasnt outclassed in that fight, he was made to look one-dimensional at times but that one dimension still was enough to win in my view. JMM showed amazing heart, looked real good in spurts and certainly gave Pac a hard fight. But in most rounds contested Pac was doing more of what the judges should be looking for the most, scoring effective punches.

John is a very different fighter to Pac of course, so it is hard to compare. Pac's aggresive style gives the counter puncher JMM more oppurtunites to do what he does best. John's highly energetic duracell bunny style is little more difficult for JMM.
Though he still clearly outdid John in the effective punches and ring generalship, making John jump around a lot and have very little effective offense.

Seeing as I thought JMM beat John but lost to Pac, I would have to say JMM outclassed John a lot more overall.

I do believe domngo has admitted in previous threads not to have seen the JMM-John fight.......yet he say's John is better.:rofl

    domngo, you're crazy! You're Pac crazy domngo!:D

I saw the JMM-John fight. I saw John winning only one round, and even that was a debatable round.

John ran for dear life and avoided any kind of an exchange.
Anything John threw had nothing on it as he never planted his feet for one second to punch.

Someone mentioned that Marquez had an off night vs John but still won in their opinion......I dont feel Marquez had an off night. The fact is that hardly anybody is going to look spectacular against a fighter who is'nt their to win, but to survive.
....but the fact remains that JMM clearly distinguished himself apart from John in every single quality catergory anybody can name.

A complete utter robbery in which any boxing scribe who has seen the fight would call heist of the year!

Btw, if Pac were to face John in Indonesia.....Pac will do well to get credit for winning 3 or 4 rounds.

.....anywhere else with John fighting a survival fight, its 12-0 Pac!
John would avoid the KO, because he just would'nt fight to win.

    jmm/john 115 - 111

was my score, and even i robbed jmm one or two rounds.
i don't exactly remember how many points he got deducted, i think 2 or maybe 3. the whole fight was a joke.
pacquiao wouldn't let it come that far, he'd knock john out in a couple of rounds.
