Let's break down this fight. Who's going to win and how?

It's really hard to tell honestly. I've only seen one fight of Chris John (the dubious JMM fight) and while I'm familiar with Rocky Juarez, that's not exactly a good thing. He strikes me as a)an extremely slow starter and b) a bit of a mental midget in the ring. He's a good boxer, good power in both hands, tough, gritty...but I always get the feeling that during the fight, in his head there's a cow playing a ukulele. He always looks spaced out and gives up rounds because he wants to get this amazing KO win.

Ronnie Shields practically has to punch him in the face to get the light switch on. That said when it's on, he's got fringe top 10 P4P talent. Sounds a little bit like Kermit Cintron to be honest.

Juarez is Garbage. I expect John to box that ass up, and then maybe hes gone forever. Juraez should just be lucky he doesnt have to fight Gamboa!!!

I don't know who will win the fight. My instinct would say Chris John - Juarez has already been taken too school by very accomplished boxers, and John has any technique and ability to do the same. Juarez does not let his shots go often enough, and seems to come up short when stepping in with genuine world class. I believe John will most likely get a UD12 verdict.

What a great undercard match-up, though. Great main event also.

Juarez always seems to fall short. Chris John will box circles around him while Rocky plods after him, landing a few good left hooks. These hooks will prompt the commentators to talk about how skillful and strong Juarez is, and then the KO won't ever come and John wins a UD 116-112 or 117-111.

If Juarez can get his **** together and show up like he did for the first Barrera fight, he can certainly win. But he's always stuck in one gear which is his dam problem. So frustrating, this guy juarez. He has the tools to become a great fighter but he doesn't use them properly. He needs to change his mentality and stop being so gunshy..

    :rofl

I can't get too excited about this fight, since it will basically come down to whether or not John can possibly win a decision in Houston. The Barrios fight wasn't promising. Talented boxers seem to confuse the crap out of Juarez though. Corruption aside, you would think John should win the decision.

Rocky can win if he's consistently aggressive, even if he fails at first, but it seems like he always takes rounds off. Being at home might help him a bit, frankly, but John's the better fighter. Juarez has better power, but that's about it.
