Decent fight by CJ, if only he had a little more punching power...

Jimmy Lennon Jr. interviews John in English.

Actually not really an interview as he doesn't ask him many questions. Just congratulates him on surviving being hurt in the 7th and putting on a great overall performance.

John is humbled, says thanks. Shy grin, and a shake of his trophy for the crowd.

Overall the card tonight was pretty good, and at this point I have completely become a Yordan nuthugger.

John should really fight someone decent for his next fight.

Dragon Fire Promotions knows how to put on a SHOW! :happy

It's just too bad their shows are all in the Orient.

:yep and I think all the trophies make for some pretty good gimmicks as well

And the western world should try to copy the Dragon Fire ring girls act

I only changed it because you said there was a 116-110. :yep

BR has it down as 118-109 twice (I heard those scores clearly) and then 119-108..which is the one I wasn't sure of.

Then again, maybe whoever updated the page at BR was just copying from my RBR post!

There's like a hundred tweets in the last few minutes about Chris John, but none mention the official scores.

It was hard to hear Jimmy announce them over the crowd and the commentators.

Anyway, it was a UD and two scores were 118-109. That much at least is certain.

The RBR for Chris John fights tends to be as epic as the fights themselves. And Yordan-Villaneuva sounds like it was MOTHER****ING epic. That's one to check out on YT, that's for damned sure.

Glad I got the chance to read this. Good way to begin a really good day of boxing.:happy

I just want to take a moment and point out - while Kimura was clearly a class below, and has failed on most of his biggest nights (now 0-2 challenging for world titles, and 3-3 in Japanese title bouts) - he was coming off a victory over recent titlist and Poonsawat conqueror Ryol Li Lee...ironically, coming at the time fresh off a KO loss to Poonsawat himself.

He was a credible contender, but out of his league.

John is a solid champion, not just a paper cutout. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'm seeing all sorts of varying reports on that third scorecard. It seems nobody heard Jimmy properly.

CJ should step his career up and face the big names. He's a good boxer but a lost one.

Chris John showed he was the real deal when he handled Juarez twice
