I knew that with the fight being in Houston and Juarez winning the last 2 rounds the scorecards were gonna be close. John should have gotten the decision but at least he kept his belt. It could have been worse. Imagine if the judges had found an earlier round to give to Juarez. He'd have gotten the decision and that would have been a real problem.

I need to watch this fight again, because I didn't see the same fight alot of people on this board did. I had it 8-4 John and the 4 could have easily been a three. I really don't think John was ever that hurt. I also thought he won the 12th, which apparently, I'm way off on. I thought he clearly won the first two minutes of the 12th.

As for those folks who insist John was tiring as the fight went on, he threw 119 punches in the 11th round and 120 in the 12th. He outthrew, outlanded, outjabbed, threw more power punches, landed more power punches, was better defensively, I don't know what people want in order to win a fight. The only thing he didn't have was a hometown crowd cheering every time one of his punches was blocked or he swung and missed.

you can't compare cintron with juarez and that said im a p.r. i dont think that chris john was robbed i thought the fight was closer then what lederman had..the only way john was robbed was if you listen to the commentators as they are tryin to act as if john is some god.every thing was john even when rocky would land god to them it was john

It's about time the score must be settled between JOHN and MARQUEZ settled. JOHN is willing to go up to 135, so it's up to MARQUEZ to prove himself against his tormentor. :hat

That was a great fight. Juarez is a solid technical fighter. It's just in this fight, he had to bring the fight to his opponent as if he would have stayed on the outside, he would have been severly out boxed and stopped.

There is an ART to fighting an inside fight. Stop assuming that just because fighter doesn't fight in a defensive counterpunching style against every opponent, that they are a bad fighter.

Even those guys that DO fight in nothing but a defensive counterpunching style will most likely lose if they get into a fight with a skilled counterpuncher with more size.

Agreed. Martinez-Cintron was highway robbery. This one was a gift. I thought clearly won but only by a few rounds.

Nobody really disputes that. I know a few knuckleheads threw the word "bum" around recklessly here, but real fans of the game know what's up.

Juarez is very good. John was better last night.

John definitely won that fight. That **** was no draw.

I didn't see Juarez win a single convincing round. If he won a round, they were definitely close rounds that could've gone either way. Whereas there were many rounds where I felt John was the clear winner.

I think a lot of people gave Juarez rounds that he didn't deserve. For example, John took control early with his boxing and moving. He dominated the early to mid rounds. But then Juarez picked up the pace near the end, but he still didn't do enough to win or even get a draw. People saw Juarez doing better in the later rounds relative to how bad he was doing in the early and mid rounds, so they gave him a lot of the late rounds, even though some of those late rounds were still won by John or at worst too close to call

Juarez got a gift from the judges last night.. anyone who says otherwise is full of ****
