I've discussed this fight enough over the years, but tell me Marquez did not dominate round 2? Someone in this thread say's round 2 is clearly a John round. atsch The round is'nt even a round where you could say was uneventful. It was very eventful, and mostly one sided filled with clean hard connects that landed upstairs, downstairs, and even shook John on a couple of occasioons in that round. Uneventful it was, but on the offensive output of Chris John.:deal
He never wanted to fight out of komodo or whatever island he lives in. He is scared of losig homecourt advantage. **** him.
Nah, that was a robbery. Marquez outlanded Norwood in almost every round. I refuse to acknowledge is as a loss. Same as Pac-JMM 3.
John has made more defences outside of his home country than any champion of the past three decades. (Japan, Singapore, USA, Australia etc) Try to keep up. And he was the victim of a blatant home-town decision in the USA when Juarez was awarded a draw, despite being comprehensively schooled by John.
Texas has a solid amateur system but the Texas Boxing Commission is soooo corrupt. Coincidentally, Juarez was the last opponent that John fought in the States.
I had the John winning the fight with Marquez by 1 point last time I scored it, with the point deductions the decisive factor. Might give it another watch this weekend. My main memory of the fight is the mental Indonesian commentator. John is an excellent boxer, but I wish we could have seen more of him against elite boxers. I don't think the robbery vs Juarez can be used as a reason for him not to fight in the US. Yeah, it was a bad decision, but most fighters get one of those in their career, and it was only a draw, which he got the chance to avenge immediately. If he can make more money fighting in Singapore then all power to him, but he will be judged by his resume.
Chris John is a fraud whose best win is a robbery over JMM Two bull**** point deductions courtesy of John's referee were the deciding factor of the fight
really, he's not a fraud, he's an outstanding boxer/puncher the "No Loss" stat won't allow him to fight anymore risky fights as he's getting to the end...
