How would you rate it? I just saw his second fight with Juarez. He was almost knocked out in the 12th round, or was fatigue a major factor?
He seemed to be on ***** street in 12th round of their first fight too, which just goes to show Juanma/Gamboa could put him to sleep. Lets not even go to what The prince would have done to him tho. He was very lucky to make it out of that 12th round. But before then he looked awesome, great jab, great speed, great movment, but nothing to suggest he actually beat JMM in their match.
Solid. His chin per se I didn't think was the mai nreason of him being wobbled.Fatigue and lack of concentration were bigger issues IMO. Juarez punches pretty good aswell.
From now on I'm calling him Chris John-son. No more of this two first names bull****. I won't stand for that kind of foolishness.
A bit unproven against a real dangerous puncher really but good enough for him to be a world champ...He doesnt stand still long enough for most of the fight for it to get cracked consistently. If Gamboa passes his next couple of tests..he could be the man with the speed and skill to land some serious leather on John, and see what it is made of.
From Wikipedia, his real name is Yohannes Christian John. Father's name is Johan Tjahjadi. They might be Christians, and just adopted European names.
A lot of them do..Nico Thomas is another Indonesian boxer. Pretty sure its because the Portugese owned some parts of Indonesia back in the day but so did the Dutch. John is also part Chinese..maybe his family were Catholic because the part of Indonesia he is from has more Christians then compared to other parts of the country.
