When I watched this fight I said to my mate 'Lebens deffo on juice' You can tell a mile off. He was much more compact than he used to be but much fuller and more vascular at the same time. His body type was completely different than it used to be. Like looking at a different dude from the neck down.
My brother who was helping to train him was saying he was like 20lbs overweight and in a week and a half, he was ripped. No wonder why.
painkillers and ROIDS are 2 very different drugs, I'm actually surprised he was suspended for painkillers, they arent sports enhancing drugs... old Leben was getting high, oxymorphone.... that's basically smack.
:yep Leben is a guy who ****s up every now and then. Not vicious or vindictive episodes but stupid stuff. Keep him in.
This shouldn't be an opportunity to bash Leben. The man seems to be on serious pain killing medication which leads me to believe he is either training with a substantial injury and/or has developed a drug problem with prescription pills. Those who know anythign about training realize injuries come with training though if you are injured, even at the end of your career you have to go with the flow. Pain Killers and injuries can only lead to bigger problems.
UFC owes a lot to Lebens performance on S1 of the Ultimate Fighter. He's also shown to be a dependable fighter, he holds most middlweight appearances in the promotion (17) and also a leader in most middleweight knockouts. (7)
He is bad press for MMA. They should deal with him harshly as this is not the first time. Glad he was caught and glad his bank balance will be affected. The UFC should fine him as well.
For everyone jumping the gun and saying it was roids read the ****ing article it says painkillers not roids
So much **** out there nowadays. Illegal substances is illegal. They always say its for some injury or another but illegal is illegal.
Meh, they weren't performance enhancers, they are pain pills. He probably had a moderate injury going into the fight. If he were on some sort of pro-hormone I'd say get rid of him. But he was on something to help him deal with pain. He is a tough dude, I hate that he got so much positive attention for beating Wanderlei, but he doesn't deserve to be punked for pain killers. If he has a drug problem and is addicted, then he should get some help. He isn't the sort of guy I'd like to see the UFC get rid of. (nor was Daley)
