There are TONS of awesome matchups in the next four UFC shows, but this one makes my toes tingle. I just have a feeling this is going to end in brutal knockout (probably Leben lying on his back.) It's going to be an entertaining brawl between two guys I don't even like. What fights are you guys most looking forward to? I like: Shogun/Griffin Koscheck/GSP Cro Cop/Kongo Tavares/Griffin Houston/Sakara And there's still Couture/Gonzaga and Rampage/Hendo. Ooooh la la. but it's the less obvious matches (like my one at top) that I always find most intriguing.
I never get tired of seeing Chris Leben lose, that is for sure. I'm pretty pumped to see Mirko in what will basically be a bare knuckle kickboxing match. Training with Remy, Sergei, and Yvel, he should be in good shape.
I'm slightly scared about that fight...only because I can't get that picture CC lying on his back with his leg curled under him out of my head. That fight with Gonzaga emotionally kicked the crap out of me. However, I am excited at the prospects of this fight style wise. It's going to be a kickboxing match, and Cro Cop has been a standup monster in the past. I'm really hoping to see the guy that destroyed a good striker like A. Emelienko return. LHK, please, please, please!
Maybe this will make you feel better, remembering times gone by: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5531138746473576070&q=cro+cop+remy&total=15&start=0&num=100&so=0&type=search&plindex=1 Remy is x10 the thai boxer kongo is. And damn, I forgot how huge Mirko blew up during his roid binge at the end of K-1 career. He looks ****ing enormous.
I'd say there's about a 88 percent chance he will, and it might make his knockout at the hands of Silva look like a walk in the park. Terry Martin is built like a little bulldozer and that man does not kid around.
Chris Leban looked like a regular Joe( from a bar ) swinging slow sloppy/wild haymakers in his last UFC fight. I thought to myself....I could take this guy out myself, and I still believe that. Not interested in seeing that bum again. I can go down to a bar and catch a Chris Leban fight any Saturday night.
