"I see no way Randy can win. He’s too old, too small and [had] too long of a layoff. Lesnar is too massive, athletic and younger. That being said, I think Randy wins." - Chris Lytle

I saw Randy training 2 weeks ago, he was being manhandled in the wrestling segment against the bigger guys.

That's exactly what my prediction looks like. I don't really see how Couture could win but I want him to beat the **** out of Lesnar so bad that I think he will :p.

I don't know, I think it's like watchin a movie and you know the protagonist is going to succeed no matter the odds.

It's tough to pick against Randy. I don't see how Randy can stuff Lesnar's takedowns. Randy has never been a submission wiz but he is capable on the ground. I can't picture Randy sweeping Brock. His only chance is on his feet or somehow taking Brock down which would be a hell of a task. If Brock connects with a right like he bombed Heath with I'm not sure Randy could eat it. Maybe Brock tires after three rounds of lay n pray allowing Randy to work some dirty boxing ala Gonzaga on him.

I could easily see it. By submission of course.
Problem is. Couture only has one submission on his entire record. (he's been subbed more times than he has been able to pull subs on his opponents).

Because of that , i see this fight as a 50/50.

lol you're right..i totally forgot about his 1997 victory by rear naked choke.

Still...Come on ! one submission in 1997 and another in 2005. and that's it.

I was thinking that Randy's best gameplan would be to jab at Lesnar, feint a big right hand, and shoot a low ankle takedown on the outside leg. With Lesnars size, if Randy gets into position, he could take him down from there. If Randy can get on top, anything is possible... but I think it will even be hard as nails to keep Lesnar down if he gets him there. It will however... **** with his head, keep him guessing, and help to wear him down.

That is a perfect description of my feelings on the fight.

And here is a nice highlight that has Lytle putting on an amazing inverted triangle - straight armlock combo submission.

Without 'roids, Randy might be bigger.

I still think Lytle beat Serra, he should have been the one fighting GSP, not Serra.
