So was away for the weekend and only got to catch up with the fights this morning.

Thought Sanigars work on the cuts was terrible. Why has he been doing that job for Selby and a few others. Why hasnt Selby got a specialist cut expert in his corner?!

I think I have seen Sanigar being the cut man for 2/3 fights now and he has been specifically very poor in 2 of them. Not getting gauzes right into the the cut and also wiping the cut after the mix is applied with a cloth just wiped away the adrenaline mix?

He did the exact same thing in another fight a few months ago I think it was.

As far as Im aware he is not a specific cutsman. A good cutman can genuinely be the difference in some fights ( I aint saying it was in Warrington fight) so why not bring in an expert?!

    Could be completely wrong here...

Didn't he work Eubank Jr corner for the Groves fight as cut man? Senior said he was **** and wasn't doing a good job with the cut on the WBSS documentary

I think that is the other fight I was talking about, was again just wiping the cut and getting no adrenaline in there, also i think there was swelling with Eubank and no press was ever used or pressing in anyway. He clearly isnt a expert cutman so why is he being employed as such especially at a high level!?

There are only one or two cutmen you want to have in the heat of battle. One of them is obviously Mick Wills.

I liked it at one point when John rawling said on commentary that they had done a great job on the cut while blood was streaming out of it all down his face

When I initially read the subject title I wondered if he might be being dragged out of retirement as Tyson Fury’s next comeback opponent.

Yeah he is terrible at working the cuts. He has shaky hands too which surely can’t help.

Hasn't he recently got over a very serious illness? I wanna say cancer but I'm not sure.

Whatever the case, he has to my knowledge mostly been a manager of fighters, but being that he has been in the game since the neolithic period he has probably done a bit of everything.

its not even the shakiness its the knowledge it seems, no swab to get the adrenaline right inside, no pressure on the swab and cut, no cold press to prevent any swelling of the cut. just a bit of mixture, wipe with the towel, then half a tub of vaseline. Almost exactly what we seen in the Eubank Jnr fight.

Yes they were bigging up his dreadful corner work, because according to all the commentators in the uk , everyone who works in British boxing are fantastic at their jobs, then the ref asked Sanigar to remove some grease and even Rawlin said ' careful Chris ' as he wiped it away with the delicacy of someone hitting a test your strength machine.

I just cant believe that a world champ and especially in such a big fight doesnt have a tailored, experienced, professional cutman.

Especially when it can be so crucial and Selby knows this all to well, given the Gradovich fight.

And therefore by definition, every one who comes to work a corner in Britain from abroad is terrible .

Maybe Selby is too relaxed for his own good, I don't know. If it was me for sure I would be looking to get the best cutman money could buy.
