Like him and enjoyed the Juarez fight. I had Chris winning by a couple of rounds. I thought I heard something about CJ not being in top form cause of an illness so was not able to fight as normal, anyone hear similar?

He had a viral infection, reported before the fight and confirmed afterwards. But with or without it, he still was going to outclass Juarez. 116-112 is about right, but if you watch carefully, other than the last 2, Juarez barely landed clean punches multiple times, while John scored regularly, so 117-111 could be an acceptable score as well. What is funny, that John still outpunched Juarez in the 12th, altough got caught more than before, and this was probably enough to convince the judges to make it a draw. Watch it without the sound of the crowd, and it's a clear decision. Terrible official scores.

John is pure class willing to go back to the US, where another biased scoring is guaranteed. He's also a nice guy, all smile and humble. So I wouldn't mind seeing him again on HBO.

he is p4p top 20 if boxing is only 6 rounds

stamina is hard to teach particularly with his age. he is the one to blame for being not 100%. he should have fought in US when he was younger and make a career fighting tougher guys. now, he is finding it hard to adjust to the cold weather.

he should now conduct his training camp in the US to get used to the weather

at first i was looking at him and thinking whats the fuss but as that juarez fight went on that guy showed some pure class his defensive movements and his ability to follow his trainers instructions by the way he has got a good trainer there very good calm advice. He changes angles under pressure and twist and pivots to avoid punches and never allows clear angles for shots. His workrates very good and he throws clean crisp shots and works well from range and up close. i can't wait to see more he's a real boxing fans fighter the general public who watch the odd fight won't appreciate his class.

Gamboa should fight the winner of Juarez-John rematch.

If John can tame Gamboa then I'd be really, really impressed, as he seems to be the man making waves at 126.

If not, a fight with Luevano (which wouldn't see too many fireworks but would be good for the purists) or a move up to SFW to fight Soto would be good for John.

The fact that he scalped JMM tells how good a fighter he is.

I wanna see him end the Gamboa hype train, assuming He doesn't get. Robbed again....also I wanna see him in against Luevano as well, I think he'd be too much for him though, but If he wins those 3 fights, which I assume he will, he should move up to a stronger division or fight one of the 122lbers like Cabalerro, Lopez, Marquez, Vasquez

Good boxer. He just need to work on his stamina so that he can maintain his workrate even on the later rounds. He would have dominated Juarez convincingly if only he had a good stamina.

Chris John won that fight, but if it was 15 rounds he might have been koed.

He's got excellent head and body movement, i'll say that much. Good right hand too.
