Chris was the product of hype.

First of all, Manny put on a master performance and still feel he would give Floyd a competitive fight. He displayed he still has his power and speed.

    But..........

Let's get real, Chris was product of top rank hype job. Pac beat Chris the way many expected him to. I don't understand why some here (mostly *******s) take so much from this EXPECTED win.

Chris looked sloppy as hell, like a amateur. He showed some sloppy thrown shots and his counters attempts were comical (I noticed he tried to land some counters in similar fashion to jmm). Chris is no bum, but he was no where near pacs level, or for that matter any where near with the elites in the likes of bradley, jmm, floyd, or pac.

Last night fight proved only that Manny was never shaken up by jmm's Ko of him. He proved him self in the bradley, rios and Chris fight that he still the same manny.

With that said, I think chris should take on opponents in his level (alvarado, lamont peterson, Julio diaz, Luis collazo, rios type fighters) and build up more experience and skill. I think fighters like lucas, chino, dsg, hell even Jessie vargas and berto beat chris. Hope he was not to shaken as he could be something.

I think some of us looked too much into the Ruslan win

He woulda been better suited to fight a real welter first or another TR guy like Rios an prove his Provo win wasn't a fluke and he could win on the world level

I almost wonder if he could beat Ruslan again

I think he probably can beat ruslan again if ruslan makes no changes. Ruslan has power but does not pace him self and basically shows up for 4 rounds and just coasts the rest of the way because his stamina goes out .

Ruslan himself was also hyped because of bradley. If bradley would of fought smart that night it would of been a easy win for bradley and ruslan wouldn't have the hype he does now.

Ruslan and Chris are both prospects, but that's it. No more or no less.

Bradley did box well in a large part of the fight rounds 3-11 minus 30 seconds in the 6th was dominated by Bradley who then got bombed late

Ruslan was all left hook vs Algieri and never unloaded the right that hurt Bradley and Alvarado despite Algieri circling to it and was timid when he had Algieri cornered he still didn't unload

Bizarre performance. Algieri won fair and square and displayed a lot but where Provo fell short Manny did not

Just the case of being on separate levels

I think it was plain to see from the Provodnikov fight that Algieri could'nt fight a lateral and counterpunch type of a fight against a world level fighter.

Algieri is'nt a true counterpuncher and he has no idea how to set up a fighter to run into his punches.
Then there's the fact that he slaps with his punches and seldom really punches with some authority behind the shots.

Is Algieri who is a mover slippery? NO!

Pretty much an easy fight to predict.

Even though Pacquiao is'nt a true welterweight, I was somewhat suprised he was'nt able to stop Algieri.
I did'nt see the fight, so I could'nt tell you my opinion as to why a KO did'nt happen.

I think the fight should have been stopped when pac caught him with the straight. Chris got up but was messy the entire round. He composed him self after but he was all over the place in that round trying to survive.

I also agree with his attempts to counter punch. It was comical, he couldn't land them effectively even though pac was hunting him down the whole time.

Pac looked like terminator last night, I don't remember what round it was in, but chris had caught pac with a good punch and it turned pacs face. Pac casually just turns around and keeps coming as if nothing had happened.

    Chris fought like mayweather

    Counter
    Good straight right
    Great movement
    Patient

Manny literally walked through the straight right hand and unloaded missiles

Just like we've been saying for years he would do against mayweather

And now you know why Floyd never wanted it

If maidanas slow as molasses punch tags you what you gonna do when the PACman hits you

Broner is the product of hype, Algeri had to beat one of the best fighters at 140 get this fight.

Algeri beats Provo - Gets a money fight.

Maidana beats Broner - Gets a money fight.

Provo was hyped. Broner was hyped, but Provo would still lay a beating on Broner.

Basically, Algieri earned his shot at pac. he defeated Provo, who was ducked by JMM. Also his style would trouble Marquez. JMM was never fantastic whenever he fights someone who doesn't engage him.

Just troll your way out of here. You make no sense and there is no one aside from *******s claiming jmm ducked provo. Jmm would pick him apart like he did katsidis. Maybe he would get dropped but he would eat up provo.

Jmm would also beat chris, not as impressive as pac did but he would of been the one to land the better shots to win the fight. Chris is no Floyd or Bradley, just stop with your nonsense .
