The bad thing about Cormier beating Jones is even if he dominates him Jones will make the excuse that he was rusty and they'll have a rubber match.

Gutted I lost my bet, but pleased Weidman is back.

    This division is stacked.

Gastelum is world class so beating him proves Weidman is still world class.

I think Weidman/Souza would be a treat... Lots of technical high level grappling. Submission attempts, transitions, trips... Or they just cancel each other out and opt to duke it out on the feet.

Rockhold is returning for the first time since his upset defeat last year to Bisping against Dave Branch. Who's game himself and not an easy opponent after a long layoff. Still... Expecting Rockhold to dominate here. Rockhold is a really bad matchup for a grinder like him.

Not sure how beating an undersized Gastellum means Weidman is back. He fought a guy ranked behind him, he was supposed to win.

    lol
Weidman did what he should have done against a tubby, shorter man, who also had shorter reach. lol@ some people acting like Weidman just beat a top level 185 pounder, and not Gastellum.

"lol" was precisely my reaction when Whittaker schooled Romero. Are you still in denial about that?

Weidman has always been over rated. Don't take it personal. I'm simply pointing out that beating the tubby but smallish Gastellum doesn't mean Weidman is back. He'd still lose to anybody ranked above him. Whittaker is the real deal, as is Romero. We saw what God's knee did to Weidman's face though. We also saw what Rockhold's ground and pound did to Weidman's face. We also saw Weidman get knee'd in the grill twice, and then try to get Mousassi DQ'd which was a real ***** move by Weidman. We've also noticed that Weidman hasn't been **** since USADA testing was implemented, after talking all that **** about juicers. Weidman's above average, nothing more.

Weidman being the underdog was bull****. I'm not saying Weidman is trash, I'm saying Gastellum is short, with short arms, and tubby, a welterweight who can't cut down to welter but small for a middleweight. Weidman did was he should have done.

"above average" being a top 10, probably top 5 operator is just above average and nothing more? Yeah ok... You're just calling it how it is, and don't have a bone to pick with the guy? Right. Look. I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but Weidman clearly has more left than "we" gave him credit for. Don't give me this crap that Weidman was expected to win this. Most thought he was going to lose... Now you and a bunch of others are going out of your way to discredit a very good performance.

Hindsight is 20/20. I seriously doubt you expected Weidman to win as easily as he did, if at all. Seems like you're just trying to discredit the performance. Kelvin is legit at 170 and 185....

Nice one. Was listening to Luke on a recent interview and he was totally fed up with not getting a fight (first Anderson refused then Moose switched). Seemed like he was seriously considering switching too

Agree Weidman Jacare would be phenomenal. As would Rockhold Romero

Personally i just hope GSP stays the hell out the picture and Bisping is forced to fight Romero, who might have lost the decision but put Whittaker out of action til next year

It's not crap, it's truth. Weidman was supposed to win this. I could give two ****s what the betting line was. Look at Gastellum, look at Weidman. Weidman lost to all top tier guys. Gastellum beat no top tier guy at 185. Gastellum was also at a size deficit. 6'2 to 5'9, with a severe reach advantage. Weidman was supposed to win, and he did.
