Both Floyd Sr. and Roger Mayweather speak in some funky jive talk that hardly anyone can understand...... I've heard Roger has some form of dementia....

He may well be an idiot, but he's punchy too. Fat tongued in the interviews I've seen him in. Actually, perhaps that should be a new thread. Who's the punchiest living ex boxer? Supremely bad taste I know, but interesting debate.

Meldrick Taylor would have to be the most punchiest boxer if going by speech.

  4. Yeah I see it all the time at the dock yard. Blokes who don't box but are stuck in an environment with a rough culture. Theres no pressure to sound like a professor.

Although May SR might have some form of dementia. Perhaps it could be affects of drug and alchohol abuse?

I remember that fight. Surprisingly easy 10round decision for Hearns. Emanual Steward was no in his corner for that fight. That was in Auburn Hills I think.

10-4.... No Steward there.... I think Hearns and Steward were at odds for a couple of years in the early to middle 90s......... It was probably about "Money" and Hearns refusing to "Retire" after 1990 / '91.......

Tommy Hearns battered Earl Butler all about for 10 rds, but couldn't put Butler away...... He had Butler down a couple of times...... A good fight for USA network.........

winning early may spare your health better than lasting the long full distance.

Riddick Bowe is the worst I have heard..... Holyfield has always had a twang to his voice which would be mistaken for punchiness - though I have no doubt his boxing career has made this more profound.

Watch out for Ricky Hatton as well.

Wasn't Whitaker a cokehead later on in his career and afterwards?

Some boxers take all kinds of bombs in the ring and hardly sound any different, such as Foreman..... Frank Bruno's voice has hardly changed either.

Hmmmm.... Both "Whitaker & Bowe" are street / jive talkers.......... Lotsa' street twang and slang mixed into their speech....... Again, I heard Whitaker talk in the mid-80s and I thought he sounded idiotic....... And Bowe being from Brownsville, New York is NOT the best place in the USA to learn to speak and write English.....
