Christian Hammer vs. Leif Larsen RBR

Round 2

Larsen is jabbing and hooking slowly but with conviction on the front-foot, tossing Hammer back into the ropes. Right hand descending from Larsen, Hammer complains of a rabbit punch with a nervous glance at the ref. 1-2 by Larsen as Hammer ducks inside, again landing behind the nape. Hammer is drilling in rights to the body as he grabs for Larsen's waist to keep him up as his momentum sends him crashing bodily in on the bigger man. Hammer leaps in past Larsen's jab and fires a high straight flurry as Larsen tilts back with his head fixed rigidly in place. Larsen flicks up a backhanded jab very casually walking Hammer to the ropes.

This is poop. I am kind of looking back fondly on Oezekler vs. Szili now...

 

Round 3

Larsen is catching Hammer with long-range hooks as Hammer circles on the outside with short lateral steps. Larsen steps in and flicks a jab, then curls in a right hand. Hammer dives through and taps the body before holding. The arena lights go out - or at least some do - and they continue without pause. Larsen creeps Hammer into the ropes. Hammer plants his feet and throws some high left hooks and looping rights, but all caught on the arms of the lumbering Norwegian.

I could see giving Hammer the 2nd and/or 3rd with his increase in output...so anywhere from 30-27 Larsen t0 29-28 Hammer is conceivable at this point.

 

Round 4

Larsen is pushing Hammer across the ring, swallowing him up in his upper arms between sweeping combos with his fists turned upside down, thumbs pointing at the ceiling. Hammer throws pit-pat combos to the body on the inside and backs up and accordions his neck with his head burrowed as deeply as it will go between his shoulders like a turtle as Larsen ambles in and clubs at him while eating a spray of defensive jabs.

Yeah - he is showing his toughness and resolve, but dude, you can't slug with someone that much bigger than you.

Did the Wach experience teach you nothing? :-(

 

He was gassed from the ring walk...

He is already in low gear and will remain there until this ends one way or another...
