Co-main event at Palais des sports Marcel Cerdan next Saturday. The vacant WBC Francophone middleweight title will be at stake. Currently neither M'billi-Assomo nor Juárez is rated top 15 in the world by the WBC (or any org). The native of Cameroon, now based in Canada, has turned heads with strong performances but sort of plateaued in terms of competition in the last couple of years. Pitbull is really no better nor worse than most of Solide's recent victims. Par here, if you're into contrasting & comparing prospects via common opposition, is set at 4 rounds, in which Sadriddin Akhmedov stopped Juárez. Besting that would help stoke the smoldering coals of the M'billi hype train.
Le Solide is going to be a free agent next year. Hope his career picks up, he's a good under the radar mw
Yep. I don't actually hate the level of competition on which M'billi has been feasting. Just good enough to keep him sharp, although maybe not testing him or teaching him anything. Would be great to see him step up soon, but for now this kind of fight is okay. Better than inactivity or just crushing straight-up tomato cans.
...if he goes the distance or struggles whatsoever, though, I'm officially concerned about M'billi stagnating.
He should beat the hell outta Pitbull and impress whoever wants to sign him for next year. I think he has 2 more fights in France including this one and his contract with GYM is off. Both parties said they'll go on their separate ways. Apparently Le Solide was pissed beacuse GYM couldnt get him a spot on the Whyte- Rivas undercard
