    Dev's last 8 fights

12 round war against Jacobs in which Dev was hurt and dropped

12 round brutal war against Culcay in which Dev was hurt badly and very nearly dropped

Brutal 12 round war against GGG in which Dev was hurt and dropped

Brutal 12 round war against Jermall in which Dev was hurt and almost dropped

10 round war against Adames in which Dev again took a ton of punishment

And Dev's sadistic handlers finally give him a softer touch against Joshua Conley over 10 rounds

12 round war against way bigger Mung where he was dropped

10 round war against bigger Mbilli fighting with one arm for most of the fight

Dev took a sickening amount of punishment in all those wars, almost all of which against big punchers

Canelo carried Ryder, Charlo and Munguia. If he really pressed the action I think he could have possibly gotten each of those guys out of there but he was content to go the distance and let them survive. With Berlanga though Canelo may have more of a reason to push harder for the stoppage, given the trash talk Berlanga has said I think this only increases the likelihood that Canelo will try harder for the stoppage this time which could be bad news for Berlanga.

The Hogan fight was about that time when Benavidez got dropped by Gavril (whom judges robbed in that fight). Fighters can improve, do you know it?

You are literally arguing that fighting one handed didn't affect the fight result lol. Mbilli was always going to be stronger in the first half of the fight but the second half would have been much tougher vs a 2 handed opponent. Mbilli is Mungia level. Fun fighter but not top class. Plant boxes his ears off.

I think Canelo is coming with a vengeance in this fight.

Or maybe with full use of the left arm, he doesn't land all those right hands in rounds 3-5 that he arguably did win. He actually seemed to be fighitng pretty well with only the right arm.

But i think the main problem was simply that he was caught with too many flush right hands, he didn't keep his guard up early on. Then again maybe excessive blocking led to the bicep injuriy in the first place with M'billi targetting the upper arms. But all I know is that at 38 years old, you can't take as many hard right hands as Sergiy did against a Prime big puncher like M'billi early in the fight. The gameplan of using his footwork was good, but he got trapped on the ropes too often and didn't block enough of those straight rights.

So he improved by going life and death with 38 year old Dervenchenko who is a blown up MW at 168. Awesome!

I think that performance will sit well in the history of against the odds performances in boxing, that was something special, imagine having to clinch and grab with a torn bicep, I’ve torn mine before and I could barely lift my pint

But it's a 10 round fight, I already knew he was screwed once the injury happened.

No where he was whipping hooks and uppercuts on repeat, that left didn’t do any probing after the injury

What would’ve changed? When in the early rounds did Derev even come close to establishing a hard left hand?

I don't say Mungia is good. Benavidez would beat him. But Benavidez is certainly not the second coming of James Toney (or even MIkkel Kessler). Gvozdyk fight showed it.
