Matchroom have announced the signing of Medina to their stable.

Medina vs Bam looks to be on course for this year.

Matchroom once again, proving they're the P4P most idiotic matchmakers in the sport. Stylistically Medina is the worst possible opponent to put Bam in with in his debut at the weight. They're begging for a Nakatani-Hernandez situation. But since I can't stand Bam, I'm quite pleased.:D

I know his resume is mostly old guys or guys who beat old guys, but if he has success against some fresh blood at 118, do you think he’d get on your good side?

He‘a a funny one to hate, but the bliss if he gets beat is almost unimaginable.

Not really, his personality is non-existent, he feasts on featherfists and old men, he steals Loma's style poorly and he has tattooed on sideburns. What's to like?

you got me on the tattooed sideburns. And I’ve thought myself, he’s a bit weak to a good right. I think Teraji is a bit past his best but I think maybe he could crack him. If it doesn’t happen this year though and then he makes it, I’ll be mad.

Were you a fan of any of the guys he beat?

Well... I'm a fan of Cuadras, Gallo, Sor Rungvisai and Pumita, so.... yeah!

Matchroom is 100% sold on Bam Bam, they will throw everyone they can at him, no risk aversion will be taken.

I know we're all ragging on Bam for various reasons, and I implore that kind of discussion, but can we please talk about how Adrian Curiel is getting a title shot after doing absolutely nothing anywhere even near the weight, or even anything at all in the last 3 years? The man beat Sivenathi Nontshinga, which fair enough was a very good win at the time and a massive upset, but he then got KTFO in the rematch, got schooled silly by a half-retired, uninspired Sunny Edwards at 112, has beat up a few cabbies in his last two fights, and is now getting a title shot against the guy who just brutalised Yoshiki Takei. Curiel is way smaller than Medina and cannot punch at all, he isn't even especially skilled for someone at world level. It's kind of a miracle that he landed that absolute corker on Nontshinga because there's no way he becomes a world champ without that shot from Heaven.
