Mijares must still be feeling the effects of his fight with Darchinyan for him to lose to a fighter who's only 17-0.

It's crazy to think how he was looked at as one of the best fighters in the game and was highly regarded for his skills, maybe he wil get his career back on track and maybe this Nehomar Cermeno guy that beat Mijares is the real deal.

Some folks on the other forum say that the decision was controversial. Remember his clear victories over Munoz and Navarro were split desicions too. One judge had Mijares up 117-111 yesterday. Judges don't like natural counter-punchers.

But who knows, I haven't seen the fight yet. Mabye Cermeno put on an excellent fight, and that combined with the effects of the brutal Darchinyan beatdown, moving up in weight and maybe overconfidence resulted in this.

I guess we'll have to see the fight.

Yeah that's why it's hard for me to believe that this fight was controvertial because Mijares was in his home country of Mexico.

Mijares is only 27, I belive that he will be able to bounce back to the top competition. I don't consider him overrated after Arce, Munoz and Navarro fights.
