he said that he has the "antidote" to beat donaire and nonito has only faced "pure punchers" and would be in jeopardy against "smart boxers".

    thoughts?

source is from another boxing online site.

PS. i can still remember how this fight became the hottest topic back then around 3 years ago in ESB.

He needs to figure out the "antidote" to beat Darchinyan first.

Mijares/Vic 2 makes more sense than Mijares/Donaire right now.

I'd have loved this fight a few years ago, Mijares isn't the fighter he once was though

that would be a better fight than anyone who was on that list top rank presented to hbo aside from maybe Narvaez but hes too small..

Suicidal fight for Mijares to take at this stage in his career. Was once a brilliant fighter and lovely to watch, not any longer though.

A few years ago this was the hardcore fans wet dream. Mijares' reputation has fell off to the extent that Donaire would probably be criticised for even taking the fight.

After his comeback fight, Donaire wants to fight the Rafa-Nishioka winner in January. Mijares would have to beat a couple of top 10 guys to get back in contention for these type of fights.

Yeah, there was a certain group of posters that was putting Mijares up on a very high pedestal, and he was doing really good at the time, although getting some strange scores from the judges regularly.

All that said, he prolly ought to stay as far away from Nonito as possible.

Nonito is on fire these days. One of the best fighters I've seen.

    Donaire would annihilate Mijares.

I agree, but also think Donaire annihilates most everybody in and around his weight class.

Absolutely, there's no shame in that. Plus I think Mijares is past-it unfortunately.

    Shame? :p

IMO, Donaire is in the discussion for best fighter on the Planet.

    Note: in the discussion.

Or did you mean no shame for Mijares to lose to Donaire?

Death wish. Simple as. If Vic beat the crap out of him, Nonito kills him.

:good No shame in losing to a guy who might be the best in the world pretty soon.
