When you're a very dangerous fighter with no money making appeal, it's very hard to secure a fight against the other top class opponents, especially at the lower weights.

It's likely Mijares is waiting on a bigger fight, but is staying busy.

Relax, this kid is only 25 and he's already top P4P material in skill and ability, something good will happen.

i've been following super fly/bantam for a year, and imo is as deep a division at the moment as 160/168, 130 and 147. it's filled with solid names, and all the potential matchups make it very interesting. i agree mijares is a very promising fighter, but how do you think he does against these guys in or around super fly?

I agree, but Mijares will beat them all if he is given the chance, the only weakness he has shown is a slightly leaky defence and not too much power. His strengths are just too wide and he can only improve -

Montiel is up there technically, but he'd eat too many shots in my opinion.

 

i think mijares beats him easily. montiel was having a hard time against gorres(pretty solid name in super fly as well), who is'nt as good as mijares. i can only see the heavier guys like sidorenko or castillo giving him a hard time. mijares chin should'nt let him fail against the likes of hard hitting but limited munoz and darchinyan as well.

 

cristian would punish darchinyan worse than he did jorge lacy. :nod
