Hi guys. Currently in the process of downloading Mijares fight with Arce, I felt compelled to bring him up in ESB. I first saw this guy on the undercard of Taylor vs Pavlik 2, or at least I think that was the card that he fought Navvaro on. In any event, after watching that fight, I began thinking to myself just how polished and good of a technician this guy wearing black is. Later finding out it was Crisitian Mijares, he had previously dominated Jorge Arce and had won in Japan twice. Although his resume is missing marquee names for now, he is still a relatively young fighter, but one that does had impressive wins. Arce hadn't lost a fight in a long time, and had been renouned for overcoming all types of adversity to pull out wins.Unfortunately, he came unstuck against the younger and more talented Mijares, who is now regarded to be on the best fighters in the world today by the hardcore. Additionally, he crossed over to Japan not once but twice to defeat the home fighter. I'm sure whoever he fought was a talented fighter in his own right, but getting a decision in Japan is impressive enough in itself. Anybody have any thoughts and opinions on Crisitian Mijares?
Great boxer and is super talented. I dont think anyone could beat him at super flyweight. He is too skilled and fast.
Probably the best boxer in the sport. He already is cleaning out the 115 pound division with his dominant wins over Arce, Navarro, and Munoz. All 3 were top 10 fighters, Munoz and Arce being 2 of the top dogs. Next up we have Montiel to clear the division and Donaire provided he does move up to face him. I see him winning both bouts pretty handily. However, as a warm-up they're feeding him a damn near shot Sasakul first.
I agee. I think Montiel would be his hardest test, as he is unpredictable in how he throws his hands, and is a better boxer than Donaire.
